Three members of staff from Paul Capper Funeral Directors, Bassett, attended the Sunrise Senior Living Summer Garden Party on 8 August.
Hayley Richardson, Matt Allen and Phillip Hutchings ran a stall at the event and spoke to many residents and other stall holders about the Choice funeral plans offered at the branch.
The day was organised for the residents of Bassett Care Home and local Bassett seniors, who enjoyed a hog roast, live music, activity stalls and speeches from the Mayor of Southampton.
Funeral Arranger, Hayley Richardson, said: “It was a brilliant opportunity to be able to provide people with more information about Choice Funeral Plans, as not many people we spoke to realised that this is an option.
“It was great to see all of the residents thoroughly enjoying themselves. I have also been in contact with the events and activities organiser at the care home and we are arranging a Macmillan coffee and cake morning for their next event, where I will be baking a cake and making a donation to the charity.”
